JPS Emerging Scholars CommitteeGreetings from the Emerging Scholars Committee! Do you have 5 minutes? Are you a graduate student, postdoc, or an early career (pre-tenure) faculty member? Are you interested in exploring the nature of the developmental construction of human knowledge? If you answered yes to all these questions, you are a JPS Emerging Scholar and we want to hear from you! The Emerging Scholars Committee was created last year as an ad hoc committee within the Society to generate new ways to connect to, and engage with, graduate students and early career scholars (i.e. postdocs, recently appointed professors before tenure) interested in the workings of The Jean Piaget Society. We are currently preparing new initiatives and proposals that speak directly to the interests and needs of emerging scholars, but, to do so, your feedback is fundamental! To reach our goal we have created a short survey (5 minutes total) to gather your opinions in a variety of topics: Tell us about workshops in which you would like to participate, initiatives that you want us to put in action, or inform us about topics for the annual conference that you would like to see in the near future: we are listening! To access this survey, please use this link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VNJRQSB We are also creating a listserv only for Emerging Scholars. We hope this will generate new networking opportunities and sharing of useful information among us. If you want to join, please, fill in the specific information that will be asked at the end of the survey. We know how busy you are so we have tried to keep this survey as short as possible (up to 5 minutes) while at the same time obtaining a rich view of your opinions. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME!! The Emerging Scholars Committee
